Shillong, July 31 : In view of the opening ceremony of the Durand Cup 2024 at J.N. Stadium Complex, Polo, on August 2, Govt. of Meghalaya has arranged for 18 public buses to operate through local areas. These buses will run on a first-come, first-served basis. While match-day tickets are required, the ride is free of cost.
Each ticket admits one person only, and must be produced to avail the bus ride, on request. Children also need valid tickets to attend. The buses will also offer return rides to the publicafter the Match on first-come, first-served basis and they can board from the designated parking spots.
The public can consider carpooling, using public transportation, or walking. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the SRGT parking lot. Additional parking spaces include the stretch from FCI to Lumjingshai(MeeCL Gate), inside MeECL, Golflinks internal parking, one side from Golfclub to PTS, Golf Tri-junction to Tiara Restaurant, Tiara Restaurant to CM Connect Office, State Convention Centre, Opposite Shillong Municipal Board Office, stretch from BK Bajoria to PGT.

1. Lad Smit – Nongthymmai – Fire Brigade – Barik – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
2. Madanrting Police Station – Nongthymmai – Fire Brigade – Barik – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
3. Nongthymmai – Fire Brigade – Barik – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
4. Fire Brigade Bus Stand – Malki – Barik – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
5. Laban Last Stop – Civil – IGP – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
6. 7th Mile Upper Shillong – Umshyrpi – IGP – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
7. 3rd Mile Petrol Pump – Umshyrpi – IGP – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;
8. District Council Junction – Umshyrpi – IGP – Raj Bhavan – BJP Office;

The bus timing is at 11 am and will ferry the passengers eager to watch the match at J.N. Stadium at 11:30 am. The gates will be open to the public at 12:30 pm.
