Shillong, January 16: Diskaland Rani filed a complaint reporting an assault and robbery that occurred on January 13th at approximately 5:45 PM.
Rani stated that he was walking towards Lawmali, Shillong, when he was approached by three individuals who initially posed as clothing vendors. When Rani declined their sales pitch, the trio became aggressive and attempted to snatch his bag. One of the individuals assaulted Rani, causing injuries.
With the assistance of passersby, two of the accused were apprehended: Rojan N. Sangma (24 years old) and Vijay Biswa (26 years old). The third individual managed to escape, taking Rani’s mobile phone and an unspecified amount of cash. Police are currently searching for the remaining suspect.
