Shillong, February 10 : The SP East Khasi Hills have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory in anticipation of the Ed Sheeran concert scheduled to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on February 12, 2025.
Traffic Regulations:
Several key junctions will have restricted access:
- No Entry at Lumjingshai Jn. towards CRPF Jn. and Forest Colony. Vehicles will be diverted towards Lawmali Jn.
- No Entry at Lawmali Jn. towards Polo. Vehicles will be diverted towards Lumjingshai / Jingthangbriew, Jaiaw.
- No Entry at Golflink Tri-Jn. towards Polo. Vehicles will be directed towards Mawroh Tri-Jn./Tiara Restaurant Jn.
- No Entry at City Hut Dhaba Jn. towards Polo. Vehicles will be diverted towards Oakland Road.
- No Entry at BJP Office Jn. towards Oakland Road – Polo. Vehicles will be diverted towards CS Bungalow Jn.
- No Entry at B. K. Bajoria Jn. towards 4th Furlong Jn. Vehicles will be diverted towards Shillong Commerce College Jn. and beyond.
- No Entry at 4th Furlong Jn. towards Polo. Vehicles will be diverted towards B. K. Bajoria Jn.
- No Entry at Shillong Commerce College towards B. K. Bajoria Jn. Vehicles will be diverted towards Don Bosco Square / St. Anthony’s College.
- No Entry at Gurudwara Jn. towards St. Anthony’s College. Vehicles will be diverted towards Lower Lachumiere / IGP Point.
Parking Arrangements:
- MFA 3rd Ground, JN Stadium: VVIPs & VIPs with passes only
- MFA 2nd Ground, JN Stadium: VIPs with passes only
- SRGT Parking Lot: Vehicles with passes only
- Red Field, Golflink (Opp. Golf Retreat): General Public
- Roadside parking (one side only) from Tiara Restaurant Jn. – CM Connect: General Public
- Roadside parking (one side only) around Golflink area (Golf club to old PTS and Tiara Restaurant Jn.): General Public
- Roadside parking (one side only) from FCI Jn. to Lumjingshai Jn.: General Public
- State Central Library Campus: General Public
- State Convention Centre Campus: General Public
Additional Traffic Advisory:
- All attendees are advised to arrive early at the JN Stadium to avoid traffic congestion.
- Attendees are encouraged to walk or use public transport to reach the venue.
- The public is advised to avoid traveling through the Polo area during the concert.
- Parking of vehicles on roadsides and the movement of loaded heavy vehicles around the Polo area will be strictly prohibited on February 12, 2025.
Emergency service vehicles will be allowed to ply without restrictions.
The SP has requested the cooperation of the public and regrets any inconvenience caused by these traffic arrangements.
