Shillong, February 27 : A series of crimes, including embezzlement, theft, robbery, and arson, have been reported across Meghalaya, according to police records.
- An Associate Station Manager of NTEX Transportation Service Pvt. Ltd. reported that Dawyoomiki Dkhar, a company cashier, misappropriated ₹2,67,521.
- Abhishek Pandey reported a break-in at his Nongrim Hills apartment, where unknown individuals stole gold ornaments and ₹7,000 in cash.
- Vicky John Lamare reported a burglary at his rented house in Lapalang Dongmadan, where a laptop and other items were stolen.
- A male resident of West Jaintia Hills reported being robbed at knifepoint by four individuals who stole ₹4 lakh and his vehicle. The victim was also forced to inhale an unknown substance, rendering him unconscious.
- K John filed a report that unknown individuals pelted stones at the labourers camp of NH project at Nongkynding village, Ri-Bhoi District and stole vehicle batteries, a water pump, a petrol vibrator and rod cutting and welding machines.
Police are investigating all reported incidents.
