Pynursla, July 9 : The Pynursla Civil Sub-Division has issued an urgent advisory cautioning commuters and the general public about heightened landslide risks along the Shillong-Dawki road. Due to incessant rainfall, the entire stretch, particularly the section from Laitlyngkot to Lyngkyrdem (Chainage Kms 24+00-37+00), remains highly vulnerable to landslides.
The advisory, issued today by the Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Pynursla Civil Sub-Division, strongly urges individuals to avoid unnecessary travel through this road in the coming hours to ensure their safety.
Authorities regret any inconvenience caused but emphasize that these precautions are essential for public safety given the prevailing weather conditions. All concerned parties are advised to take note of this warning and comply accordingly.
