Shillong, September 04 : The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Arts & Culture, Government of Meghalaya, organized a one-day painting competition under the theme “Seva Parv – Vision of Viksit Bharat Ke Rang Kala Ke Sang (Culture and Tradition)” on the 26th September, 2025 at the State Central Library premises, Shillong.
The competition drew spirited participation from art enthusiasts and young talents across three categories: Professional: 10 participants, College: 10 participants, School: 21 participants. Participants showcased their artistic skills reflecting the rich culture and traditions of India, portraying visions of a developed and culturally vibrant Bharat.
The competition concluded with a closing function at 3:00 PM, graced by the Director of Arts & Culture, Government of Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest. In her address, she congratulated the winners and participants for their creative efforts and encouraged them to continue exploring their artistic potential. She also lauded the initiative of the NEZCC and the Department for promoting art and culture among the youth.
