Best of Meghalaya talent set to shine at 31st State Karate Championship from Thursday

Shillong, October 21: The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) will organise the 31st State Karate Championship 2025 at the JN Indoor Stadium here from 23 October.

The three-day championship, which is being supported by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, is expected to showcase the best of Meghalaya karate talent.

East Khasi Hills were the Overall Champions in the men’s and women’s divisions. Eastern West Khasi Hills were the runners-up in the men’s category and Ri-Bhoi the runners-up in the women’s.

The closing ceremony will take place on Saturday at 4pm. Cabinet Minister Sanbor Shullai MLA had kindly consented to be chief guest. The championship will be opened by Commissioner and Secretary Matsiewdor War Nongbri, IAS.
