The management of Kauvery Hospital, Chennai has announced that it will open a new health center in Assam by 2025 to make it easier for the people of the North East to access treatment for various diseases without having to travel all the way to Chennai.
A group of journalists from Meghalaya, Agartala and Assam recently visited the hospital from 3rd to 5th November, 2025 to see for themselves the various services offerred at this hospital.
Along with journalists from other states, the journalist of Batesi TV also had the opportunity to meet with the Managing Director Dr. Manivannan S. and the doctors who demonstrated the medical equipment provided in the rooms of Kavery Hospital for the treatment of patients suffering from various ailments.
Kavery Hospital has 12 departments in six cities including Chennai, Trichy, Hosur, Salem, Tirunelveli and Bengaluru with more than 2,250 beds and modern Intensive Care Units.
We were told that the hospital has treated more than 6 lakh patients per annum and has performed more than 500 organ transplants per annum.
It is worth mentioning that the hospital has also received the JCI Accreditation for two hospitals, Alwarpet and Vadapalani and within 10 years the Vadapalani Branch has become the first to receive the JCI Edition Accreditation.
The hospital is also the first to adopt artificial intelligence based CT imaging and uses highly advanced 4K, 3D and robotic visualization technology which is safe for neurosurgical treatment, laser agioaplasty.
As a recognized Center of Excellence, the hospital offers treatments ranging from cardiology, heart & lung transplant, liver & kidney transplant, robotic surgery, oncology, neurology, orthopedics and emergency services.
