Tura, March 11 : The district administration of West Garo Hills has extended the curfew imposed across the district for an additional 48 hours in view of the prevailing law and order situation.

According to an order issued by Vibhor Agarwal, District Magistrate of West Garo Hills, the curfew has been extended under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita following reports of violence and disturbances affecting public safety and property in several parts of the district.

As per the order, the curfew will remain in force from 12:00 AM on March 11, 2026, until 12:00 AM on March 13, 2026, unless withdrawn earlier.
