Shillong, April 8: A newborn baby boy was found abandoned at the OPD (Out Patient Department) gate of Ganesh Das Hospital, Lawmali, Shillong on March 23, 2026 at around 8:25 PM, according to an official notification.
The infant is currently under the care and protection of Lamei Baphyrnai Specialised Adoption Agency, Shillong, where necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the child’s safety and well-being.
Authorities have appealed to any person or relatives having information regarding the child to come forward and contact the concerned offices within 60 days from the date of publication. It has been stated that failing to do so will result in the child being declared legally free for adoption.
