Shillong, May 21: The Meghalaya Government has issued a corrigendum revising the date of the state holiday for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) from May 27, 2026 to May 28, 2026.
The notification was issued by the General Administration Department on Thursday through an official order signed by the Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya.
According to the corrigendum, the change has been made in partial modification of the department’s earlier notification No. GAA.78/2025/23 dated October 21, 2025.
The revised holiday date will apply under both the General Holidays list and the Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
