Shillong, June 30: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Enumeration Phase of the electoral rolls has commenced across all 898 polling parts covering the 15 Assembly constituencies in East Khasi Hills district, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) beginning door-to-door distribution of enumeration forms to eligible voters.
According to a press note issued by the Office of the District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills, the distribution and collection of duly filled enumeration forms is scheduled to be completed by July 29, 2026, as part of the ongoing revision of electoral rolls.
The district administration also released the status of enumeration form distribution as of June 30, indicating that the exercise is underway across all Assembly constituencies in the district.
Among the constituencies, West Shillong recorded the highest number of forms distributed at 391, followed by Pynursla (375), North Shillong (317), Mawsynram (317), Mawryngkneng (306) and Sohiong (275). Other constituencies include South Shillong (218), Nongkrem (203), Mylliem (174), Mawlai (166), Nongthymmai (140), East Shillong (124), Mawkynrew (117), Mawphlang (116) and Pynthorumkhrah (101).
The Special Intensive Revision is being carried out by the Election Commission to update and verify electoral rolls, ensuring that eligible voters are included and the rolls remain accurate and up to date.
The District Election Officer has urged all electors to cooperate with Booth Level Officers during the house-to-house verification and submit their completed enumeration forms within the stipulated timeline to facilitate the smooth completion of the revision exercise.
