Participants were also introduced to technologies such as Intelligent Traffic Management Systems, CCTV and Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras, AI-based traffic monitoring, speed-enforcement mechanisms and emergency-response systems.

Additional SP (Traffic), Ri-Bhoi, Orville Isaac Massar, MPS, and Deputy Inspector General, BSF Shillong Sector, V.S. Rathore, IPS, were among the speakers who shared their views on traffic enforcement, road safety and responsible road use.

An interactive Road Safety Quiz was also held, covering traffic signs, road rules, accident scenarios and traffic-related issues specific to Meghalaya.

The Traffic Branch set up stalls where participants interacted with officials and received information on enforcement measures, road safety practices and technology-enabled traffic management.

The programme concluded with a Road Safety Ambassador Pledge, reinforcing the message that safer roads require awareness, responsible behaviour and respect for traffic laws from every road user.
