Shillong, September 14: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has announced the programme for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination, 2026–27, which will be conducted from December 4 to 16.
According to the schedule issued by MBOSE, the examinations will begin with English on December 4, followed by Science on December 7 and Indian Languages or Additional English on December 9.
The examination for Health and Physical Education, Computer Science and Vocational Subjects will be held on December 11. Social Science is scheduled for December 14, while Mathematics and Special Mathematics will be conducted on December 16.
All examinations will be held from 10 am to 1 pm, except the theory examination for vocational subjects, which will be conducted from 10 am to 11 am.
The examination halls will open at 9.30 am. Question papers will be distributed at 9.45 am, answer scripts at 9.50 am, and candidates will begin writing at 10 am.
The Indian language papers include Garo, Khasi, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu and Mizo.
Vocational subjects include Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, Healthcare, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES, Apparel, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking and Automobile Repair. These are offered in place of Computer Science or Health and Physical Education.
MBOSE said the examination programme may be rescheduled if unforeseen circumstances arise or important announcements are made by the state or central governments on any of the examination dates.
