Shillong, September 29: Meghalaya Police brought home two gold medals from the 75th All India Police Wrestling Cluster Championship in the arms wrestling category, held at the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban, from September 23 to 27, 2026.
A total of 37 police teams from across the country participated in the championship.
Wandalin Syiemiong won the gold medal in the women’s 60 kg category, while Alan Sun Marbaniang secured gold in the men’s 90 kg category.
Marbaniang also emerged as the Overall Champion of Champions and was named the All India Strongest Man 2026.
Both athletes have previously won gold medals at the championship and once again delivered strong performances for the Meghalaya Police.
The force congratulated the two medal winners for their achievement, describing their success as a proud moment for Meghalaya Police.
