Shillong, May 2025 – In a moment of immense pride for India and Meghalaya, Bankhrawnam Ryndong has clinched a silver medal at the Asian Belt Wrestling Championship 2025, representing the nation on the international stage.
His remarkable achievement has been celebrated by the All Meghalaya Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Association (AMTW&PA) and the Meghalaya State Martial Arts (MSMA), who praised his dedication and outstanding performance.
The success was made possible through the unwavering guidance of Donny R. Ranee, a respected leader and coach who mentored Ryndong throughout his journey, including during his championship bout. Also contributing to this victory was Lorenza Songthiang, a United World Wrestling (UWW) International Referee, representing AITW&PF, whose expertise and support were instrumental in shaping this milestone.
The trio’s efforts have not only brought honor to their organizations but also added to India’s growing reputation in the international wrestling circuit.
