Shillong, January 03 : Police are investigating several separate incidents of vehicle theft and robbery reported across Meghalaya in the last few days of December.
- Shillong Van Theft: Ranjan Kumar reported the theft of his Maruti Eeco van (ML-05U-8757) from his residence at Lumsohphoh, Shillong, in the early morning of December 30th.
- Jowai Motorcycle Theft: On the night of December 27th, a motorcycle (ML-04C-9919) was stolen from Jowai, West Jaintia Hills.
- West Garo Hills Armed Robbery: Johnstar N Sangma reported that on December 27th at approximately 6:30 PM, six unidentified individuals armed with machetes waylaid him at 13th Mile in West Garo Hills and stole Rs. 90,000 in cash.
- North Garo Hills Scooter Theft: On December 28th, Lokash Sangma reported the theft of his scooter (ML-13A-6351) from the Mendipathar Bazar area in North Garo Hills.
Police in the respective districts are investigating these incidents. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police station.
