Nongpoh, June 25 : A decomposed male body was discovered this morning at approximately 8:00 AM in the field of a village near the 17th Mile, Ri-Bhoi District. The discovery was made by residents, who also noted a downed electric post with a live wire lying on the ground nearby.
Upon learning of the incident, electrical board officials were immediately summoned to determine the cause of the wire falling. An inquest was conducted in the presence of a medical officer, who opined that the cause of death was electrocution. The time of death is estimated to be between one to two months prior to the discovery.
Following all legal formalities, the deceased has been shifted to the Morgue Room of Civil Hospital Nongpoh for a post-mortem examination and for identification purposes.

- Height: 5 ft (approx.)
- Age: 30-35 years
- Wearing Apparel: White vest, cotton shoulder bag green colour, black pant, red belt.
