New Delhi, February 13 : The Government of India, through the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (Department of Personnel & Training), has issued an official notification appointing four members of the Meghalaya State Civil Service to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
The appointments were made under Rule 8(1) of the IAS (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, read with the IAS (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954.
According to the notification published in the Gazette of India, the officers have been selected against vacancies arising between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024 under the Select List of 2024.
The following officers have been inducted into the IAS:
- Aitinolin L. Mawlong — Date of Birth: 20.08.1968
- Rikse R. Marak — Date of Birth: 02.03.1974
- Mary Sonty N. Marak — Date of Birth: 05.02.1972
- Ibashisha Mawlong — Date of Birth: 17.09.1968
The officers will remain on probation until further orders and have been allocated to the Assam-Meghalaya Joint Cadreunder Rule 5(1) of the IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
