GANOL HYDRO POWERPLANT SYNCHRONIZED WITH GRID, RAISING ANNUAL PRODUCTION TO 65MU

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced on Twitter today that all three units of the Ganol Hydro Powerplant have been synchronized with the grid, raising the estimated annual production to 65MU. This marks a significant milestone in the state’s journey towards self-sufficiency of power.

“Very happy to announce that all 3 units of Ganol Hydro Powerplant are now synchronized with the grid, raising the estimated annual production to 65MU,” Sangma tweeted. “This marks a significant milestone in our journey towards self-sufficiency of power. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.”

The Ganol Hydro Powerplant is located in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. It has a total installed capacity of 22.5 MW.
