Shillong, December 19 : The Government of Meghalaya’s Personnel & A.R. (A) Department, through orders issued by the Governor, has promoted four Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) officers as Heads of Department/Joint Secretary under Level–21 of the revised pay matrix, under the provisions of the Meghalaya Civil Service Rules, 1975.
Jacqueline Una Kharpuri, MCS, currently serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills (Khliehriat) and Project Director, DRDA, East Jaintia Hills, has been posted as Director of Education Research and Training, effective from the date she assumes charge.
Tangchiring K. Sangma, MCS, serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills (Ampati) and Joint Registrar of Societies, has been posted as Director of Forensics, to take effect upon assumption of charge.
H. Kerwood Thabah, MCS, posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills (Nongstoin) and District Planning Officer, has been appointed Joint Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya in the Home (Police) and Home (Political) Departments, effective from the date of taking over.
Rapborlang Kharbihkhiew, MCS, presently Deputy Secretary handling District Council Affairs, Urban Affairs, and serving as Chief Mobility Officer under the Urban Mobility Cell, MUDA, has been posted as Joint Secretary in the District Council Affairs and Urban Affairs Departments. He will also continue to function as Chief Mobility Officer, MUDA, from the date he takes charge.

- Evarinia Liza Warjri, MCS is transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills (Shillong) from her charge as ADC i/c Pynursla Civil Sub-Division (also serving as Marriage Officer/Registrar).
- Clement P. Mawkoh, MCS moves from West Khasi Hills (Nongstoin) to become Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills (Khliehriat).
- Gautam Warjri, MCS is shifted from East Khasi Hills (Shillong) and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pynursla (Civil) Sub-Division.
- Salyong R. Marak, MCS is transferred from East Jaintia Hills (Khliehriat) and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills (Ampati).
