Shillong, December 20 : The Meghalaya government on Thursday approved a fresh round of promotions for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across multiple batches, while also issuing a set of transfers and additional charge arrangements in the Home, Personnel and district administrations.
As per a notification issued by the Personnel & A.R.(A) Department, three IAS officers of the 2010 batch have been promoted to the Super Time Scale (IAS Level 14: ₹1,44,200–₹2,18,200) with effect from 01.01.2026. Those promoted include: C.V.D. Diengdoh, IAS (RR: 2010), M.W. Nongbri, IAS (SCS: 2010), R.M. Kurbah, IAS (SCS: 2010). The notification also states that the promoted officers will continue in their current roles and responsibilities, including multi-departmental portfolios and key field postings.
Two IAS officers of the 2013 batch have been promoted to the Selection Grade (IAS Level 13: ₹1,23,100–₹2,15,900), also effective 01.01.2026. They are: Ramkumar S, IAS (RR: 2013), Isawanda Laloo, IAS (RR: 2013). Both officers are to continue holding their present assignments, including secretariat portfolios and additional responsibilities noted in the order.
The government also granted proforma promotion to Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid, IAS (RR: 2017)—currently on inter-cadre deputation—to the Junior Administrative Grade (IAS Level 12: ₹78,800–₹2,09,200) with effect from 01.01.2026.
Three IAS officers of the 2022 batch have been promoted to the Senior Time Scale (IAS Level 11: ₹67,700–₹2,08,700) effective 01.01.2026. They are: Anendya Raajsshree, IAS (RR: 2022), Aditya Verma, IAS (RR: 2022), Manish Kumar, IAS (RR: 2022).
Following promotion, postings include: Anendya Raajsshree posted as Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills (Ampati), Aditya Verma posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tura, Manish Kumar posted as Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills (Khliehriat)
In a separate notification issued, the state ordered a series of postings, transfers and additional charge arrangements—covering the Home (Police), Home (Political), Personnel & A.R., and district administrations.
Among the notable movements:
- Dr. B.D.R. Tiwari, IAS (RR: 2006)—currently Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya and Commissioner & Secretary, Election Department—has been assigned additional responsibility as Commissioner & Secretary, Border Areas Development Department, with immediate effect upon taking over charge and until further orders.
- Dr Pooja Pandey, IAS (RR: 2008) to be posted as Commissioner & Secretary in Home (Police) and Home (Political) on completion of central deputation on 31.12.2025.
- Garod L.S.N. Dykes, IAS (Non-SCS: 2011) transferred from DC, West Khasi Hills (Nongstoin) and posted as Secretary in Home (Police) and Home (Political).
- Isawanda Laloo, IAS (RR: 2013) given additional charge to also function as Secretary, Personnel & A.R. Department.
- Shivansh Awasthi, IAS (RR: 2019) moved from DC, East Jaintia Hills (Khliehriat) and posted as Joint Secretary, Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
- Hema Nayak, IAS (RR: 2020) transferred from DC, South West Garo Hills (Ampati) and posted as DC, West Khasi Hills (Nongstoin).
- Saloni Verma, IAS (RR: 2021) assigned additional responsibility including CEO, Shillong Smart City Ltd, along with other departmental charges indicated in the order.
- Richa Kulkarni, IAS (RR: 2023) shifted from SDO (Sadar), West Garo Hills (Tura) to SDO (Civil), Dadenggre.
- Evotolu Kezo, IAS (RR: 2023) shifted from SDO (Sadar), West Jaintia Hills (Jowai) to SDO (Civil), Amlarem.
