Shillong, March 20: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has announced a revision in the retail selling price of its premium grade petrol, increasing it by ₹2 per litre with immediate effect.
The company clarified that the price of regular (normal) petrol will remain unchanged, ensuring that the majority of consumers are not affected by the revision.
According to HPCL, the price adjustment applies only to premium petrol variants, which are typically used in high-performance vehicles. The decision has been taken in line with prevailing market conditions, input costs, and product positioning.
HPCL further stated that the revision is part of periodic price adjustments undertaken to align with global fuel trends and operational considerations.
Consumers are advised to check updated prices at their nearest fuel outlets. HPCL remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply and maintaining transparency in its pricing mechanisms.
