Man Injured During Law and Order Situation in Tura Now Stable

Tura, March 13: The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills has confirmed that Pantera M. Marak, who was injured during a recent law and order situation, is currently in stable condition and under medical supervision at Civil Hospital, Tura.

According to an official press release issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Marak was admitted to Civil Hospital, Tura, on March 11, 2026, after sustaining injuries to his right arm and right knee, along with other minor injuries.

Doctors at the hospital immediately attended to him and initially kept him in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for observation. Following medical assessment, he has now been shifted to the General Surgery Ward, where he remains under constant monitoring by medical staff. Authorities stated that his condition is stable.

The district administration has also urged the public not to believe or share unverified information, warning that spreading rumours may create unnecessary panic and disturb public peace.
