Shillong, June 11 : The Meghalaya Basketball Association (MBA) has announced open selection trials for the state’s senior men’s and women’s basketball teams, who will represent Meghalaya at the 39th National Games in 2027.
Aspiring basketball players aged 18 years or older as of the trial date are eligible to participate, provided they are permanent residents of Meghalaya. 3 The MBA is looking for individuals with a strong background in competitive basketball, preferably with experience at international, national, regional, or state levels. 4
The trials will take place in Shillong, with women’s trials scheduled for June 20th and 21st, 2025. 5 Men’s trials will follow from June 23rd to June 25th, 2025. 6
Candidates are required to bring an original and photocopy of their Aadhaar card or any valid government-issued ID, a recent passport-sized photograph, and certificates of previous participation in basketball tournaments or leagues. 7
