Meghalaya Honoured as ‘Dual Platform Achiever’ for Integrating DigiLocker and EntityLocker

Shillong, November 4 : The Government of Meghalaya has been conferred the ‘Dual Platform Achiever’ award by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, for its exceptional achievement in successfully integrating both DigiLocker and EntityLocker platforms.

The award was received by Pravin Bakshi, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Information Technology & Communication Department (IT&C), representing the state at the DigiLocker/EntityLocker Conference held on November 4, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The national conference brought together senior policymakers, regulators, representatives from State Governments and Union Territories, industry leaders, academia, and technology partners to deliberate on the future of trusted digital document exchange in India.

Inaugurated by S. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, MeitY, the event focused on DigiLocker’s expanding role in government services, education, fintech, and value-added services. A special felicitation programme recognized top-performing states for their exemplary integration of departmental e-services with DigiLocker and EntityLocker — both key components of India’s growing digital public infrastructure.

The ‘Dual Platform Achiever’ recognition highlights Meghalaya’s pioneering role in advancing digital governance through the integration of citizen- and organization-centric digital locker systems.

By adopting both platforms, Meghalaya has enabled secure, trusted, and interoperable digital solutions for individuals and entities alike — promoting efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in public service delivery.

This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the IT&C Department, Planning Department, and the State e-Mission Team (SeMT) Meghalaya, whose coordinated work and commitment to innovation were central to this milestone.
