Me’gong Festival Returns to Garo Hills on Dec 5–6, 2025, with Neeti Mohan & Kanika Kapoor Leading the Lineup; International Artists to Be Announced Soon

Star-studded performances to kick off a larger, more vibrant edition of Me’gong Festival 2025

Shillong, November 19 : The Me’gong Festival organizing committee is pleased to announce the first wave of performers for Me’gong Festival 2025, featuring two of Bollywood’s most loved voices who will bring their music and energy to this year’s celebration. The festival will be held on December 5 and 6, 2025 in the Garo Hills.

On December 5, Neeti Mohan will take the stage. She is widely regarded as one of India’s finest playback singers and is celebrated for popular hit including Ishq Wala Love, Jiya Re, Nainowale Ne, and Kheech Meri Photo. An international performer for the opening day will be announced soon.

On December 6, Kanika Kapoor will perform for festival audiences. Known for blockbuster songs such as Baby Doll, Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, Lovely, and Jugni Ji, she brings a dynamic and high-energy style that has made her one of Bollywood’s most recognisable voices. A second international performer for the second day will be revealed in the upcoming announcements.

Me’gong Festival continues to grow as one of Meghalaya’s landmark cultural showcases, celebrating the rich traditions of the Garo community through music, indigenous art, local crafts, culinary attractions, and immersive cultural experiences. The 2025 edition is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the country, creating meaningful opportunities for local artisans, entrepreneurs, businesses, and the tourism ecosystem of the Garo Hills.
