Shillong, March 27 : The Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Umsawli Campus, hosted a vibrant two-day management fest ‘Lyngwiar ’26’, bringing together ideas, culture, and innovation under one platform.
Organised by the School of Economics, Commerce and Management in collaboration with PRIME Meghalaya, the fest witnessed participation from around 250 students and professionals from various colleges and organisations.
The event was held under the theme “From Hearth to Horizon: Transforming Knowledge into Innovation and Leadership,” emphasising the integration of traditional knowledge with modern management practices.
The inaugural session featured addresses by academicians and experts. Speakers stressed the importance of preserving indigenous wisdom while adapting it to contemporary contexts, especially for sustainable development and economic growth.
A key highlight of the fest was the Technical Expert Session, where industry leaders and academicians discussed topics such as digital transformation, leadership mindset, innovation, and customer-centric strategies.
The second day featured competitions including case studies, business plan presentations, creative advertising, and talent showcases, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
The event provided opportunities for networking and skill development, fostering analytical thinking, decision-making, and entrepreneurial mindset among participants.
The fest concluded with a valedictory session, prize distribution, and a jam session, celebrating the achievements of participants and the success of the event.
