Delhi, August 4 : A delegation of NPP MPs from Meghalaya and MLA’s from Manipur met Home Minister Amit Shah on August 4, 2023, to discuss the ongoing crisis in Manipur.
The delegation, led by Agatha Sangma, MP Lok Sabha and Dr Wanweiroy Kharlukhi , MP Rajya Sabha from Meghalaya, M. Rameshwar Singh, MLA, Sheikh Nurool Hassan NPP MLA, Manipur also accompanied the delegation submitted a resolution signed by NPP MLAs from Manipur, calling for immediate measures to restore normalcy and peace in the state.
The delegation also appealed for adequate relief and rehabilitation materials to be provided to those who have been affected by the crisis.
Shah assured the delegation that the government is committed to restoring peace and normalcy in Manipur, and that relief and rehabilitation measures will be taken.
The NPP delegation also assured Shah that the party will extend all possible help in restoring peace and harmony in Manipur.
