Shillong, July 14 : The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) will be implementing a one-way traffic regulation on Nongrim Hills, Laitumkhrah from July 17 to 21, 2023. This is being done in a bid to improve traffic flow in the area.
The following changes will be made:
- Vehicles proceeding from Rynjah towards Seventh Day junction, Laitumkhrah will be diverted at SBI ATM junction Nongrim Hills and will take the rear road of NEC Secretariat and exit at Nagaland House junction.
- Vehicles proceeding from Seventh Day junction, Laitumkhrah towards Nongthymmai Nongshilliang will have to take the front road of NEC Secretariat and take Right Turn at SBI ATM junction Nongrim Hills.
The STP has advised motorists to follow the new traffic regulations and to cooperate with the traffic police personnel.
The one-way traffic regulation will be implemented on a trial basis for the first five days. The STP will review the traffic situation after five days and decide whether to make the regulation permanent.
