Shillong, October 10 : A dynamic delegation from PRIME Meghalaya, the Government of Meghalaya’s flagship entrepreneurship initiative, showcased the state’s innovation and enterprise at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025 (TNGSS) held in Coimbatore. The delegation comprised 10 entrepreneurs representing diverse sectors including technology, handicrafts, textiles, health, manufacturing, and tourism, reflecting Meghalaya’s creative and entrepreneurial diversity.
Organized by StartupTN, the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025 served as a premier platform connecting global investors, business leaders, innovators, and policymakers. The event brought together over 30,000 attendees, 750+ startups, and 100+ investors, making it South India’s largest innovation and entrepreneurship gathering.
The PRIME Meghalaya delegation actively participated in exhibitions, B2B meetings, and networking sessions, engaging with both national and international stakeholders. The startups highlighted Meghalaya’s unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation, demonstrating how indigenous skills can align with global market trends.
Saloni Verma, IAS, Executive Director of PRIME Meghalaya, emphasized the importance of the state’s participation in the summit, stating “Our participation at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit demonstrates Meghalaya’s readiness to connect, collaborate, and compete on national and global platforms. PRIME is proud to enable our entrepreneurs to gain exposure, partnerships, and new market linkages.”
Rudolf Mawthoh, Co-founder of Solipsis, one of the participating startups, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity “Being here at the StartupTN global summit has helped me in ways I could not imagine. The participating startups presented cutting-edge solutions spanning eco-friendly textiles, sustainable handicrafts, digital health innovations, smart manufacturing, and technology-driven tourism. Their inclusion in this national forum underscores PRIME Meghalaya’s mission to nurture a sustainable and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state.
Through such collaborations, PRIME Meghalaya aims to expand opportunities for local entrepreneurs, facilitate investment linkages, and position Meghalaya as a growing hub of innovation and enterprise in India’s northeast.
