Public Invited to Participate in Meghalaya’s Pre-Budget Discussion

Shillong, February 11 : The Meghalaya Government’s Finance (Economic Affairs) Department will conduct a Pre-Budget Discussion for the State of Meghalaya for the financial year 2025-26 on February 12, 2025.

The consultative discussion, chaired by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, aims to engage citizens in shaping the state’s financial plans. This session will provide an opportunity for constructive dialogue on Meghalaya’s fiscal policies and budgetary allocations as the state strives towards becoming a USD 10 billion economy.

To ensure widespread participation, the public is encouraged to join the discussion virtually via live stream and share their questions and suggestions through comments. The session will be broadcast live on Hello Meghalaya, as well as on the official Facebook pages:

It is important to note that Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma will present the state budget on March 5, 2025. The budget session of the 11th Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held from February 28th to March 13th, 2025.
