Shillong, May 06 : The 54th Regional Sports Meet (KVS Silchar Region) 2025, hosted by PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Happy Valley, Shillong, concluded on May 6th, 2025. The three-day event, which began on May 4th, 2025, saw enthusiastic participation from 160 students representing 22 Kendriya Vidyalayas across the Silchar Region.
Students competed in a variety of events, including Rope Skipping, Boxing, Taekwondo, Skating, Shooting, and Chess.
The closing ceremony featured Brig Joe Sabby, Commandant, 58 GTC & Chairman VMC, PM SHRI KV Happy Valley, as the Chief Guest. Also present were observers Navina Kumar Srivastava, Principal PM SHRI KV EAC Upper Shillong, Nitu Singh, TGT PHE, KV Masimpur, and Paritosh Das, TGT PHE, PM SHRI KV Panisagar, along with Guest of Honour Deepti Dixit, and Venue Principal Dhirendra Bahadur Singh.
In his address, Brig Joe Sabby congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of sports in the lives of children. He also extended his best wishes and support to the sports officials of KVS RO Silchar.
The event concluded with a cultural program, a prize distribution ceremony, and a flag retreat.
