Shillong, March 28: The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Pynursla Civil Sub Division, has issued a public notice revising the timings for the ongoing road closure between Laitlyngkot and Lyngkyrdem.
As per the revised schedule, the road will remain closed daily at the following timings:
- Daytime: 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Night-time: 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM
The closure will be enforced on a temporary daily basis starting from March 28, 2026, and will continue until further notice due to ongoing construction works along the stretch.
Authorities stated that vehicles will be allowed to pass from both ends—Lyngkyrdem and Laitlyngkot—until 10:30 AM, after which construction activities will commence.
In view of the approaching monsoon season, commuters have been strongly advised to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel, especially during or after heavy rainfall and at night.

The administration has urged all commuters to cooperate and adhere to the revised timings to ensure safety and smooth execution of the ongoing road construction works.
