RS 200/- PER CYLINDER CUT IN PRICES TO BENEFIT MEGHALAYANS

Shillong, August 30 : The BJP Meghalaya unit has whole-heartedly welcomed the Centre’s decision to cut LPG prices by Rs 200 per cylinder. State President Ernest Mawrie said the move will have an immediate impact on every Meghalayan’s domestic budget and will make day-to-day living so much easier.

“This is yet another example of how the BJP led Government in Delhi is constantly working towards helping the common man,” Mawrie said. “It is a gift from the Narendra Modi Government to women of India, and the state, ensuring that every upcoming festival becomes so much more joyful.”

The price cut will come into effect from Wednesday, August 30, 2023. With this decision, citizens will now get a cylinder for around Rs 900, while the nearly 9.6 crore PM Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries will get a cylinder for around Rs 700.

Mawrie said the price cut is a major relief for the people of Meghalaya, who have been struggling with rising inflation. He urged the Centre to take further steps to reduce the burden on the common man.
