The Script, Jason Derulo, Nora Fatehi, Aqua, Tyga and Diplo to headline Meghalaya’s biggest celebration
Shillong, October 31 : The highly anticipated Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 is set to return with an electrifying line-up featuring global chart-toppers The Script, R&B superstar Jason Derulo, Grammy-winning DJ Diplo, Bollywood icon Nora Fatehi, and pop legends Aqua. The festival will be held on November 14 and 15 at the Polo Ground, Shillong.
Announcing the line-up, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma described this year’s edition as “a grand celebration of music, art, and culture showcasing the rich diversity of our state.” “The Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 will bring together international and Indian artists, creating a platform that celebrates creativity and unity,” Sangma said. “Day 1 will feature The Script, Jason Derulo, and Nora Fatehi. On Day 2, we’ll have Aqua, Tyga, and conclude with a spectacular closing set by world-renowned DJ and producer Diplo.”
He also announced a special tribute performance dedicated to the late legendary singer Zubeen Garg, to be performed by Zublee, Priyanka, Prabin, and Arupjyoti on the second day of the festival.
The Chief Minister invited citizens and visitors to join the festivities, expressing optimism that the festival will attract over 50,000 visitors.
This year’s edition will also feature an impressive line-up of local and regional artists, including Meba Ofilia, Dappest and adL, rock band Girish and the Chronicles, and Arius, who will share the stage with the global stars. “This festival is not just about international acts; it’s about giving our local artists a global platform,” Sangma noted.
Apart from the star-studded performances, the festival will host an exciting range of activities, including the Mr. & Ms. Cherry Blossom Competition, cosplay contests, and Cherry Blossom Arm Wrestling.
Multiple festival zones will be set up across the Polo Ground, MFA Ground, the stadium, and the main stage area, offering food stalls, art installations, and interactive experiences for visitors.

The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival has earned widespread acclaim, winning the Golden Banyan Award for Best Cultural Music & Dance at The Week Heritage Awards 2025 in New Delhi, as well as two Gold Awards at the WOW Awards Asia 2025 for “Special Event of the Year – Government/Organisation” and “Festival of the Year.”
These recognitions have cemented the festival’s reputation as one of Asia’s most sought-after cultural and music events, drawing international attention to Meghalaya’s vibrant creative landscape.
