Shillong Lajong meets Churchill Brothers in a crucial I-League encounter

Shillong, March 06 : Shillong Lajong will play current league leaders Churchill Brothers tomorrow in the I-League. The match will kickoff at 4:30 pm in Raia Stadium, Goa.

This will be Lajong fourth consecutive away match and after a thrilling hard fought 4-3 victory in their lastmatch against Gokulam Kerala, they will look forward to carry on their winning momentum when they face the red machines of Goa tomorrow at their den.

In the pre-match press conference held earlier today Lajong head coach, Jose Carlos Rodriguez Hevia expressed after their victory against Gokulam Kerala in which the team dominated the match, played welland fought until the last whistle, this will be a different challenge since Churchill are top in the points tablebut nonetheless he is optimistic of how his team has been performing and they will put a good fight tomorrow for all three points.

Lajong are currently 5th in the points table with 26 points from 17 matches only the H2H record separating them from 4th placed Namdhari FC, meanwhile Churchill Brothers are currently top of the table with 31 points from 17 matches. The last time the two sides met ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw in Shillong.
