Shillong, March 25 : In a major step towards enhancing student employability, St Edmund’s College, Shillong has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emporium Training and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, to promote career opportunities in the aviation and hospitality sectors.
The collaboration aims to strengthen industry-academia ties by equipping students with industry-relevant skills, improving career awareness, and facilitating job placement opportunities, particularly in the rapidly growing aviation sector.
The agreement was formally signed on March 25, 2026, at the College Conference Room by Brother Sunil Britto, Principal I/C of St Edmund’s College, and Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager of Emporium Training and Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of college authorities and consultancy representatives. The MoU will remain valid for a period of three years, with provisions for renewal based on mutual agreement between both parties.
Speaking on the occasion, Brother Sunil Britto stated that the initiative would help bridge the gap between education and employment, while Anirban Mukherjee reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to creating career pathways for students aspiring to enter the aviation industry
The partnership is expected to open new avenues for students, aligning academic learning with industry demands and improving career prospects in emerging sectors.
