Ampati, September 1 : South West Garo Hills District Executive Force (SWGH DEF) has made significant breakthrough in a series of theft cases reported over the past few months, involving both government and private properties across the region.
According to an official communique by the SP, South West Garo Hills, Vikash Varma, based on credible intelligence a joint inter-state raid was conducted in Mankachar area with the assistance of Assam Police on August 29, 2025.
During the raid, police apprehended one person identified as Iftakul Islam (43), a resident of Thakuranbari on Assam-Meghalaya border.
