Shillong, January 16 : The East Khasi Hills Police have announced traffic regulations and parking arrangements for a large gathering of traditional heads, including Rangbah Shnongs, Seng Longkmies/Seng Kyntheis, Seng Samlas, Dorbar Kurs, NGO representatives, political parties, and others, organized by the KHADC at the 2nd Ground, Polo, on January 18, 2025.
Traffic Regulations:
- From 9:00 AM onwards, there will be no entry from Lumjingshai Junction towards CRPF Junction. Vehicles will be diverted towards Lawmali Junction – Polo and beyond.
- There will also be no entry from Lumjingshai Junction towards Forest Colony.
Parking Arrangements:
The following parking areas have been designated for the public:
- SRGT Parking Lot (first come, first served)
- One-side parking from Tiara Restaurant Junction to the CM Office Connect
- One-side parking in the Golflink area
- Opposite the Software Technology Park, FCI, Lumjingshai
Emergency service vehicles will be permitted to pass and will be given priority. The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong, has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by these arrangements.
