Jowai, February 18 : In view of the upcoming JHADC Election 2025 and to ensure smooth traffic movement during the polling day on 21st February 2025, the following traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place from 02:00 PM onwards:
Key Traffic Restrictions:
- No Entry from Thomas Jones Junction towards D.C Office.
- No Entry from Tpep-Pale towards Iawmusiang.
- No Entry from Mission Compound road towards Iawmusiang/D.C Office.
- No Entry at H.K. Singh Tri-Junction towards D.C Office.
- No Entry at Dawki Stand towards D.C Office.
Traffic Diversions: 6. Vehicles coming from Riatsiatsim side will be diverted towards Mynthong (District Library Side). 7. Vehicles coming from Khimmusniang/Jrisalein side will be diverted to Chutwakhu road. 8. Vehicles coming from New Hill side/Shillong road will be diverted to Kynruh Saphlang and Thomas Jones.
Parking Arrangement: 9. All 4 parking lots at Iawmusiang will be evacuated starting from 03:00 PM on 21st February 2025.
These measures are implemented to ensure the free flow of traffic and maintain order during the election process.
