Shillong, September 9: Traffic restrictions will be imposed at Paltan Bazaar in Shillong from September 10 as the Public Works Department resumes construction of the Aqueduct Channel at Jeep Stand.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, the work will be carried out by the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD (Roads), Shillong ‘B’ Sub-Division, and will continue until completion of the project.
In view of the construction, a “No Entry” restriction will be enforced at Paltan Bazaar near Suman Transport for vehicles proceeding from Chowkhani Building junction towards Jeep Stand via Paltan Bazaar.
The traffic arrangement will remain in force during the construction period.
Members of the public have been requested to cooperate with traffic police and use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
