Tura, September 25: The Tura Government College Students’ Union (TGSU) has elected its new team of office bearers for the 2026-27 academic session following the students’ union election held on September 25.
Griksrang M. Marak was elected president, while Changsan Saturn R. Marak was elected general secretary. Silbera A. Sangma was elected vice president and Ringrang B. Marak assistant general secretary. The other elected office bearers include Chingle G. Sangma as Literary and Symposium Secretary, Sengchang M. Sangma as Games and Sports Secretary, Sengsgrang Ch. Marak as Social Welfare Secretary, Jeswan G. Momin as Boys’ Common Room Secretary and Anse Kadime R. Marak as Girls’ Common Room Secretary.
According to information provided, the newly elected office bearers are also members of the Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo Peoples (FKJGP), Garo Hills region. The new team will represent the students of Tura Government College during the 2026-27 academic session. The election was held under the theme, “Together for a Better Tomorrow.”
