Tura, March 19 : The West Garo Hills District Police have clarified that two separate incidents reported on March 19 under Hallidayganj Police Station and Phulbari Police Station are unrelated and not connected to the ongoing law and order situation in the district.
According to police, a written FIR was lodged by Abdul Wadud Saha, a resident of Khopati Part-III in Assam, regarding the death of his brother, Late Abdul Akher Shah (45).
The deceased had reportedly travelled to Hatsinghimari for official work and later returned to his residence at Kasharipara under Hallidayganj PS. He was subsequently found dead inside his house with multiple injuries.
