Shillong, July 25: Eleven-year-old Shelevah N. Jyrwa from Laimer, Upper Shillong, is set to showcase her singing talent on the internationally renowned television talent competition Britain’s Got Talent in October or November this year.
Shelevah, who emerged as the winner of the Sur Kynud Season 4 singing competition organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television in March 2026 under the direction of Rev. Fr. Michael Makri, is now preparing to take her talent to the global stage.
The announcement was made by Rev. Fr. Michael Makri during a felicitation programme organised by the Government and the public in honour of young singer Kitkupar Nongsiej at Khyndai Lad on Saturday.
Kitkupar recently won three gold and two silver medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts 2026, which concluded recently in Las Vegas, United States.
According to Rev. Fr. Makri, Shelevah is expected to participate in the prestigious singing talent competition, Britain’s Got Talent, in either October or November this year.
