NO CHANGE IN LPG REFILL BOOKING TIMELINES: GOVT CLARIFIES

New Delhi, March 27: The Government of India has dismissed reports claiming changes in LPG refill booking timelines, terming them as misinformation circulating on social media and in some news outlets.

According to an official statement issued by PIB Delhi, claims suggesting revised timelines—such as 45 days for PMUY connections, 25 days for non-PMUY single bottle connections, and 35 days for double bottle connections—are incorrect.

The government clarified that LPG refill booking timelines remain the same:

  • 25 days in urban areas
  • 45 days in rural areas
These timelines apply uniformly, regardless of the type of LPG connection.

Authorities have urged citizens not to believe or circulate such misinformation and to avoid panic booking of LPG cylinders, which may disrupt supply chains.

The government reassured the public that sufficient LPG stocks are available across the country and there is no cause for concern regarding supply.

The clarification aims to curb misinformation and ensure smooth distribution of LPG without unnecessary disruptions.
