MBoSE Declares HSSLC 2026 Results for Arts, Science & Commerce; High Pass Percentage Recorded

Shillong, May 4: Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on Monday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2026 for Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams, with an overall strong performance recorded across streams.

In the Arts stream, a total of 23,773 students appeared for the examination, out of which 20,882 passed, registering a pass percentage of 88.63%. Topping the stream is Megha Shree Roy from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. The second position was secured by Joziah Daman Laoo of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, while Nakisakahuni M. Pakyntein, also from St. Anthony’s, secured the third position.

In the Science stream, 3,732 candidates appeared, with 3,124 students passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 83.70%. Dechro M. Marak of Don Bosco College, Tura, topped the stream, followed by Amos Chinminlun from St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Vishal Rai of Laban Bengalee Boys Higher Secondary School, Shillong.

In the Commerce stream, 2,234 students appeared for the examination, out of which 2,017 passed, recording the highest pass percentage among all streams at 90.28%. The top position was secured by Priya Ghosh of St. Edmund’s College, Shillong. Ankita Das from St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School secured the second position, while Rishika Debnath from the same institution secured the third rank.

Meanwhile, in the Vocational stream, 21 students appeared for the examination, with 20 successfully passing. The results reflect a commendable performance by students across the state, with consistently high pass percentages recorded in all major streams.
