He observed that many deserving students are unable to avail themselves of the benefits of various government schemes due to technical issues and insufficient awareness.
He stressed the need to conduct awareness workshops in colleges and universities across the state so that students can better understand and benefit from schemes introduced by both the Union Government and the State Government. He also assured the students that their concerns would be taken up with the Education Department and the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs to help resolve the issues faced by beneficiaries.
Highlighting the importance of education and opportunity, he stated that government welfare schemes are designed to secure the future of students, adding that when students succeed, society and the nation progress together.
To inspire the students, he shared the story of a 20-year-old girl from Meghalaya who successfully climbed Mount Everest. Recalling her journey, he said she began dreaming of the achievement at the age of 12. Through this example, he encouraged students to remain committed, determined, and focused on their goals despite challenges and difficulties.
