MLCU Ranked Meghalaya’s Top Private University in IIRF 2026, Secures National Recognition

Shillong, June 23: Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU), Shillong, has been ranked the top private university in Meghalaya, second in Northeast India, and 60th nationally in the IIRF India Ranking 2026, further strengthening its position as one of the leading higher education institutions in the region.

The rankings were awarded by the International Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF), which assesses universities across key parameters such as academic excellence, research, placements, and overall institutional performance.

Adding to the achievement, MLCU has also secured the No. 1 position in Meghalaya in the latest EducationWorld India Higher Education Rankings 2026. The ranking reaffirms the university’s standing as a premier institution of higher learning in the state.

The EducationWorld rankings evaluate institutions on a wide range of criteria, including academic reputation, faculty quality, curriculum and pedagogy, infrastructure, student support services, research output, and employability outcomes.
