Shillong, July 24: Mount Olive Culinary and Hospitality Management (MOCAHM), the first culinary college in the Northeast, hosted its graduation ceremony for the 2023–2026 batch at its college campus on Friday, celebrating the successful completion of various programmes by 24 graduating students.
The ceremony, marked an important milestone in the academic journey of the graduates, who completed Bachelor’s Degrees, Advanced Diplomas and Diplomas in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.
As a pioneering institution in the region, MOCAHM focuses on equipping students with practical skills and in-depth knowledge in Culinary Arts while preparing them for professional careers in the global hospitality industry. The institution serves as a bridge between academic learning and the professional world, enabling students to develop the skills required to pursue careers internationally.
The graduation ceremony was attended by prominent hospitality professionals and members of the college leadership, including Chef Pawan from Courtyard by Marriott Shillong, representatives of Rajdhani Cookery House, Chef Adonijah, Managing Director Sunny Mawlong, Directors and faculty members of MOCAHM.
The event honoured the hard work, dedication and practical learning acquired by the students during their time at the institution. Speakers praised the resilience and commitment demonstrated by the graduating batch and extended their best wishes as they embark on their professional journeys in the global hospitality industry.
The management highlighted that the 24 graduates are now equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue careers in professional kitchens and luxury hotel management across the world.
